T7 problems, latest news?

I happily strolled into our local dealership to order a new vehicle after 9 years of fun with our T6. They look great and placed my order for a t7 Ehybrid, which is perfect for my local travels and once a year holidays. But, and I know I should have done the research first, I’ve seen all the terrible reviews around the electrical systems, leisure battery etc etc. I’ve placed my order on hold for now, but could any T7 owners please let me know if the issues have now been resolved for those bought last year, and if any newer owners have had problems as well. I’ve been reassured by the salesman that out of 12 customers that he has had handed over to this year, none have had had issues. It seems to have been sorted. Here’s hoping anyway, gagging for my new van. Thanks.
I have the diesel California Ocean 2.0 TDI DSG rather than the plug-in hybrid, so this doesn't appear to be a hybrid-specific issue.

From everything I've read so far, it seems the T7 generation is simply a much more electronically complex vehicle than the previous T6/T6.1. There are many more control modules, software integrations and communication systems, so it's perhaps not surprising that we're seeing more electronic and software-related issues discussed.

I wouldn't jump to the conclusion that the T7 is unreliable overall. I think it's just a far more sophisticated vehicle, which also makes diagnosing faults more complicated.

If you're interested, have a look at my thread. I've described all the symptoms, the dealership's initial diagnosis and everything that's happened so far. I'd be interested to hear your thoughts.

The Hybrid has a 6 speed DSG gearbox unlike the diesel or petrol versions. EV drive is used in place of 1st and Reverse gears. So you always start the vehicle moving using the EV system. Also the EV battery is used for the in car AirCon system to start with.
Thank youWelshGas...AirCon of course off...but when I see that I am not in1st or reverse bit driving at 60 or 70km/h ...And aftwr 4 or 5 % consumption It stops battery consumption driving just the same way...I need to check wether therw IS consumption when starting directñy in hynrid amd the amount of consumption in that case. I Will let you know

I'm not sure you are correct. My T6.1 Ocean 4motion has as much if not more electronics than an T7 ocean.
The battery problem you and a few other had is hopefully now solved.
