Has anyone had issues with their T7 not starting. I keep getting warnings that driver assistance isn’t working i.e cruise control lane assist etc and also a drive system error which stops the van starting. I’ve had VW Rescue out four times and the vehicle is back in the workshop for a third time. I picked it up yesterday morning after allegedly being repaired and drove 100 feet out of the dealership and the same warning lights came on. One of the employees had the same issue on a T7 a couple of weeks ago.

I've had issues with driver assitance not working, also jumping out of gear when trying to pull away. First started at 8pm whilst trying to reverse into a camping spot on a site, took me 20 minutes to get it to reverse, I was not popular on that site!

It turned out to be a faulty sensor in the drivers seat that detects if a driver is present.

Sounds slight different to your issue as I never had issues starting the engine, just pulling away or starting ACC whilst driving. I also got a "Driver not detected" message some of the time (although not when it failed to pull away).

Wheel speed sensor failure will throw all those issues (apart from non starting ).

I would expect the sensor would show up on a scan.

What did the dealer. "Fix"

The dealer replaced a sensor on the starting motor and a sensor on the adblue tank. Neither of these helped as the warning lights and messages came on just as I left the dealership premises. The starting problem is intermittent it’s just a lottery as to whether or not the vehicle will start. It can go for a couple of weeks without an issue or twice in the same day. One of the VW rescue technicians who attended my vehicle said that he had had the same problem with a T7 just a couple of weeks before.
I’m doubtful that when I do get my vehicle back that the issue will be resolved.
