Has anyone had issues with their T7 not starting. I keep getting warnings that driver assistance isn’t working i.e cruise control lane assist etc and also a drive system error which stops the van starting. I’ve had VW Rescue out four times and the vehicle is back in the workshop for a third time. I picked it up yesterday morning after allegedly being repaired and drove 100 feet out of the dealership and the same warning lights came on. One of the employees had the same issue on a T7 a couple of weeks ago.

I've had issues with driver assitance not working, also jumping out of gear when trying to pull away. First started at 8pm whilst trying to reverse into a camping spot on a site, took me 20 minutes to get it to reverse, I was not popular on that site!

It turned out to be a faulty sensor in the drivers seat that detects if a driver is present.

Sounds slight different to your issue as I never had issues starting the engine, just pulling away or starting ACC whilst driving. I also got a "Driver not detected" message some of the time (although not when it failed to pull away).

Wheel speed sensor failure will throw all those issues (apart from non starting ).

I would expect the sensor would show up on a scan.

What did the dealer. "Fix"

The dealer replaced a sensor on the starting motor and a sensor on the adblue tank. Neither of these helped as the warning lights and messages came on just as I left the dealership premises. The starting problem is intermittent it’s just a lottery as to whether or not the vehicle will start. It can go for a couple of weeks without an issue or twice in the same day. One of the VW rescue technicians who attended my vehicle said that he had had the same problem with a T7 just a couple of weeks before.
I’m doubtful that when I do get my vehicle back that the issue will be resolved.

Sorry mate not had ANY issues with our Beach since collection in December. Although now I’ve said it haven’t I ‍♂️

I have had all the assist systems stop working and it was due to depleted starter battery. I assume it didn’t have enough power to start up all of the secondary systems. Not sure this is the same but worth checking the battery health

My T7 Ocean Hybrid has had Driving Assisitance Systems (ADAS) issues where warning lights for lane keeping, collision prevention, adaptive cruise etc randomly come on and will reset after a few minutes driving. Typically in colder weather to be fair.

Originally the PDI picked these up and delivery was delayed whilst the dealership “fixed” by finding a wiring loom plug from the windscreen camera sensor not properly connected but I dont think has made much difference…
Before that they said it was the new camera in the windscreen that was at fault but as it was a new version to the pre Aug 25 built T7s they couldnt swap with another van in stock, but when the plug was found to be not fully connected the camera replacement was dropped…
Never had starting issues though and dont think the reason of low battery not being able to cope with starting the systems is viable.

Theres clearly hundreds of sensors and the software is so integrated and complex I dont think anyone really knows how it all works (rather than how it should work).. !

I don’t think the issue is with the battery health.
I picked up my van on Friday morning from the workshop and it ran normally all day.
On Saturday morning en route to my grandson’s football whilst the vehicle was in adaptive cruise control the display said travel assist unavailable and then drive system error.
I don’t think they have a clue what is going on.
I was told that if it happened again they would escalate the issue to VW I said that having called out VW Rescue on four occasions and the van having been in their workshop four times that this should have been done already.

May ask the name of the dealer looking after you Cali?
