Thanks for replies. Good points, but maybe the bigger picture required..
So far my experience has been..
Phoned - explained issue (folding pull strap on side not working) and agreed a day to go in for techs to look at ..
Day 1. Drive 40 miles for tech to confirm something not right but cant establish if repairable. Book in again to investigate. Drive home (wont let me leave the seat. Must have vehicle)
Day 2 - drive back and leave vehicle for a week.
During this week confirmed that seat replacement required - now on back order with VW with no ETA - collect van and drive home..
Message yesterday that seat is now due in mid June - please book vehicle in for two days to replace seat… (Days 9 and 10 in reality)
So the inspection and investigating has been done and the expectation is a new seat replacement.
this time I am getting a replacement vehicle (that I only need to drive home and back to garage the next day hopefully) but the time it takes going back a fore is a pain.
I was wondering if the seat is coded to the vehicle or something ?
