California battery issues - workaround

I had this last year and a new J608 control module for the batteries + a software update fixed it.

Thanks for the update , van booked in with the dealer so hoping this is a ‘fix’

Reading this as our new California T7 Coast ( 2025) is currently sitting in the garage having the battery software installed. The leisure battery was not holding charge. Having loved our T5 Cali for 9 years and never having a battery problem we are really disappointed and crossing fingers that it gets fixed in preparation for our drive to Ibiza!

Do you have an update on whether the fix solved the problem? I have the same T7 Coast 2025 with the same issue. Leisure batteries completely discharge if the vehicle is left for 10 days, then the starter battery discharges also. Looks like the drain is from the starter battery with power shunting from the leisure batteries. It’s going in to VW on Friday 16.10.26.
