Battery management issues VW New California T7

EV battery stayed at 79-80%. It seems that the EV battery has no role in maintaining the charge of the 12v batteries.
Very unusual. Every hybrid and EV I've driven, the high voltage traction battery would trickle charge the starter battery. Even my Tesla EV has a 12v battery for emergency opening of doors, etc when the EV battery reaches zero and this is also trickle charged from the EV battery if it drops below a certain voltage.

I also have a Tesla and indeed they work together. The VW electric architecture seems either/both different and/or suboptimally managed.

I fully agree; no doubt about it ; I repeatedly experienced that.

A question regarding how the heating system works in the PHEV. When you look at the options on the configuration, there is “Camper Parking Heater for continuous operation …” £3,120 on the coast and comes as standard for the ocean. This only appears with the diesel or petrol version, not in the PHEV? Any idea on why? Or how does it work for the PHEV?

Ohhh …the confusion on using the breaker before connecting external power comes from the online manual in the van which says to do so!!!…VW have been made aware to maybe change the manual
Hi, greetings from Poland! I am struggling with such a defect. Is there any chance to solve it by my own? By the time being VW servis in Poland hasn't met such an issue. Many thanks for answer.

Traded in our T6 for a hybrid Ocean 2 weeks ago, went on a weekend camping trip. Prior to purchase checked with the dealer re battery issues as we were aware of potential problems. Were advised all was good and no updates needed.
Charged high voltage battery on arrival at campsite, no EHU but on Friday night leisure bakery was fully charged. Left the van with fridge on on Saturday morning, leisure battery at 70%, the vehicle was untouched for 7 hours. Returned to find leisure battery at 20% and 12V engine battery out of charge. Switched off fridge, but to no avail, all electrics in van stopped working - lights/doors/water pump. Shortly after when opening driver door vehicle alerted me to stop driving (?) as hybrid system not working, Shortly after this the boot and side doors were deadlocked. I called VW assistance who advised they could attend at 3am - this was 7pm. I advised we would not be leaving overnight and to delay until the morning, I asked if it was safe to sleep in the vehicle, no VW technical assistance available so was given answer that they didn't know. Lovely campsite hosts gave us a bed for the night. Assistance arrived in the morning, took 2h to get the van to move with a power pack attached and mechanic had no idea why this finally worked. 6h wait for low loader, again needed power pack and some chanting to get it to move (at one point we thought we wouldn't get it on the low loader). Vehicle should be back at dealership this morning but currently demanding our old van back and a refund - this van is at best a multivan with a bed and a non functioning water tank, it is definitely not fit for purpose as a camper van.

Wow, amazing. I am still trustfull that finally VW will fived the problem. BTW while picking my car up from a dealership accidentaly one of the selers told me I'm lucky not having electrical pop-up roof. Now I know why.
