VW INSURANCE

Hi that another odd ball, I have just had a 10 minute conversation with Admiral, I have just renewed my policy for my Ocean and they are trying to talk me into starting a multi car policy.
... well that's not weird ;p

Hi WelshGas totally agree but I do believe that when you phone up to discuss about premiums, because the list is endless some advisors do submit the incorrect vehicle details I personally have been with them since purchasing our California, the advisor I spoke to went right back to 2018 first couple of years details correct, but for some reason LV changed their description maybe that is why some of us have been receiving these emails/ letters for non renewals. Any who knows as said earlier for us time will tell.
Coming to this thread a bit late, but I think I can shed some extra light on the LV confusion.

I work in the industry (Comfort and Gallaghers are a couple of our customers) and LV have sold their insurance business to Allianz (they previously worked as partners). As part of this, Allianz have been "streamlining" the policy base and brands since 2021.

I know several non campervan owning mates who were with LV and got similar letters saying they would not be renewing their vehicle policies in the last 12 months, so it's not just a van thing. I suspect it's more about reducing "riskier" policies based on location, vehicle age and driver profile. It's also happening to other "personal lines" type products like pet, house and travel insurance.

I'm currently insured with LV on my van, renewed again last month with a fairly decent reduction on last year.

I'd imagine the confusion is related to the data and policies being transferred onto the Allianz systems and, as posted above, if you have received a letter / email, it's probably worth you double checking what details they hold for your van.
