Rear air vent removal

Hi there I'm hoping someone can help, the rear air vent on passenger side has been damaged and I'm trying to remove it so I can get in there and straighten up the flaps and wheel that's been pushed back but I can't find any info on how to remove it, does anyone know how please? Cheers

Gavin, I’ve got exactly the same problem. The rattle definitely comes from behind the C pillar as I’ve tried all the other suggestions re roof, blind etc. It sounds like something has come loose but like you don’t know what. I’ve now left it too late as heading to France and Spain for 3 weeks and the rattle will drive me mad, however just need to get on with it. I’m planning to take the hit and get it booked into the local VW dealer on return but would be grateful if you could let me know if you get any resolution, thanks Colin

Here you go , I've popped mine out to show you , use a small cranked trim tool work the top out first, see the two steel spring clips , these release one at a time, hold the panel in position with a slight pressure towards yourself after the first one releases, then move to the second top one once those two are released the panel will come out , if you do need to release the bottom ones the are directly below the top.

In the last photos you can also see the screws mentioned earlier in this thread by @flyingbannana

You may be able to carefully clip those flaps back into the wheel.

I can just pull them out by grabbing them with 2 hands in the top and bottom holes and just pulling them out.
I know the screw is there, but for me, it doesn't change the rattling.
What do you hear when you push the places I showed you on your picture?
