Hi,

Our T6.1 is due it's first service (2 year one). I am after some current advice as to any dealers we could take Billy to for a service. I assume that this can be a normal VW van service centre? Breeze in Pool ( who we bought the van from) reminded us that a service was due. They have always been great at fixing any camper issues. However they are quite a trip away.

We are located 20 minutes from Glastonbury and Wells, and ten minutes from Cheddar. Bristol would be fine . However I have read some bad reviews about the main dealer there.

Any recent recommendations would be most welcome.

Me too. It was accident damage but really crap work and service, denial of slitting the roof bellows in the mech, broken promises and rude. Yes they can change but what a change they would have to make. I travelled from Bristol too!

Well, Exeter for us were total numpties and just lied about having checked warranty work. Eurovans who supplied it were terrible. We've been using Breeze lately but I'm not sensing the same satisfaction there from general postings. Going back a year or two everything seemed really spot-on.

I noticed for example when we had a decent service, they didn't perform a joint walk around to check everything was spot-on.

I believe the service was ok.

I drove 3 hours to Breeze Poole last year because I wasn’t happy with my options locally. I wasn’t wowed to be honest - damage to the trim under the bed extension and unable to finesse kitchen door closure.

I’m starting to feel like it’s luck. Which of the team do you get given to? How many jobs have they got that day? Did they just have an argument with their wife? But seriously, I also think it’s a culture thing. I used to take pride in my work and in giving people top service. When a customer left me, they felt special and guess what? They came back to me. And now I sound like I’m 100 years old!

Anyway, I’ve been looking at Wooburn Green on the ‘search’ function on here - nearer me than you I’m afraid. If I could be certain of top quality work and being dealt with properly I would do some serious travel.

Thanks. Looks like I am not going to travel all the way to Breeze then! That's a real shame though.
Travelling to Wales might work. Combined with a short break.

The VW Heritage / Mons van centre in Bristol is ok - not had any major issues from servicing or MOTs there. Not had great service from them ever either but work has been done ok. Book a long way ahead to get a courtesy car if you need one.
