Hi,

I’m looking to get these tyres when I next change them:

Michelin CrossClimate 3 235/55 R17 Y (103) Y XL

However, looking at Costco/Black Circles these tyres don’t appear for our 6.1. Was changing a tyre on our other car at Costco and asked about the van. They said they’d not fit them without clear evidence they’re ok for the van. The manual provides a bunch of info on tyre ratings, but I can’t find a definitive list of approved tyres. I know lots of folks here, use and recommend these tyres, so pretty confident they’d be fine. Does anyone know where there’s documentation showing they’re ok? Or recommend a way forward?

Thanks!

Thanks, it’s not like for like, currently I’ve the standard installed ones. I can see the tyres as available, it’s convincing the fitter that they’re ok for the van, that’s the challenge.

Take your point about all the possibles, but assumed there might be a list of the common ones or the minimum spec.

The sticker inside the door frame lists several sizes. 235x55x17 should be on there as well as your 215x60x17s.

The door sticker does state this size as an option and this is the tyre size/type we went after buying our 6.1 a few months ago.

Just fitted those to my T6 California, seem good. I questioned if there was an suv version more suited, like the cross climate 2 had. Seems the cross climate 3 has one version suitable for suv. So far feel good, I was using the Goodyear vector gen 3 suv, still a good tyre.

Thanks folks, a quick check and, as suggested, obviously posted on the door frame. Ironically, almost always use the sliding door, and hardly ever open the driver door! Duh.

Attached to save effort for others looking

Please let me know how you get on with them… I think these will be my tyre of choice when I have to replace the Bridgestones. Cheers :)
