Leaking Sliding Window

Afternoon all, sorry for jumping onto an old thread. Can anyone advise if the bottom plastic runner/trim, that the window slides along, is actually fixed to either the glass or is it fixed to part of the metalwork of the door ? TIA.

From what I remember it is all bonded to the glass.

Well that's a bugger! If it is indeed bonded to the glass then its coming away...

Many thanks for confirming. Now to get something suitable to bon/seal it back onto the glass then.

Make sure that you don’t seal the 2 drains that are in the seal. Only a couple of mm wide and easy to miss, they are part of the drain from the runners. I’ve posted some diagrams in the technical guide section that might help.

Sika will do a product , have a look at their website - quite widely available from various outlets / Amazon etc
