HELP ! Part Needed and no longer produced

Window not operational at all, on both front doors.
No noise at all, so not even 'trying' to work.
Been to local VW guys, say it needs new/replacing, but VW don't do the part anymore.....
Told that this unit also controls the central locking...what I was told.

I am a bit late to this thread.. So apologies if this has been covered.

The window motor is also a door ecu, so it does more than just the windows, not a lot more but door locking and a few other things like Wing Mirrors movement / fold, it also reads in the Passenger window switch on the drivers side.

As far as parts supply, the EU rules basically mean that companies have to produce spare parts for 10 years so in most cases that means a a lot more than 10 years. So basically say a T5 has a unique part not used on the T5.1. It would be 10 years from the end of the last T5. If a part is reused on all the Californias like the kitchen table, then it will be from the last T6.1 + 10 years, even although it started on the T5.

UPDATE

After sourcing the spare (thanks to Cali Parts, in New Milton), garage fitted it today, and voila, everything back now working.
Have kept the old motor, as will probably try & get that 'repaired/recon'd' as someone suggested, in an earlier thread.

I got the same impression when I spoke to my local one, didn't seem bothered at all.

Liverpool.......honestly, couldn't have been less helpful.
