Dear club members,
I’m looking for help with repairing the fridge in my recently purchased VW California 2008 (T5 SE 130).
Before some longer upcoming trips, I decided to have the fridge checked by a local refrigeration repair shop. It seemed to be working fine before I brought it there. However, during inspection they opened the copper pipe to check the system and told me there was a leak. Now the system is definitely empty because the pipe was cut open.
They also said the compressor might no longer be working, but earlier it was running normally. At the moment I cannot confirm this because I don’t want to start it with an empty system.
So I’m now considering three options:
Location: Lithuania, but I’m willing to travel and ship!

- Repair my current fridge (preferred option). I would really appreciate recommendations for specialists who have experience repairing VW California fridges and can work directly (because removing wiring of the unit is very difficult). I do not trust the expertise of local, and not able to find a one with proper knowledge.
- Buy a good used fridge (offers welcome).
- Buy a new replacement fridge (offers and recommendations welcome).
