Just checking I understood. Do you out the baking mat on top of the induction hob and then the pan on top and you’re still ok to cook? Seems like a great idea if that’s the case.

Could I check something with you? A new Vango sizzle just arrived in the post for me but it doesn’t sound right. There’s a scratchy noise when the induction starts. Is this normal or does it sound faulty?

There is an internal cooling fan associated with the electronics which drive the induction coils - could it be that you are hearing, either operating normally or perhaps the fan is catching something as it turns?

Thanks. I’ve requested a replacement or refund. Not worth the risk of a fire in a campervan.
