Ahead of picking up our new T7 on Thursday, we have been looking into getting a driveaway awning for the UK driver’s side. It looks like there is some kind of channel that can be used on that side of the vehicle (see attached photo) Most awnings seem to face ‘right’ and so the Vango quadris seems a good option.

Does anyone have any experience of which driveaway awnings work well for the driver’s side?

Does anyone have any feedback on the Quadris?

What kind of connection kit is needed for the driver’s side?

Thank you

We had a Quadris, it was great but we had two separate faults with it that needed return for repair so we asked for a refund in the end and got a Faros iii which is also good but quite a bit smaller than the Quadris.

I use a vango cove 3 air and use it both sides, i just turn the van around depending on which way i want the awning to face, thats the beauty of having two doors.

We have the Vango Faros Air beam, uses a cadac strip to enable the 'drive away' capability as shown in Californication69's post, takes us about 10 mins to setup, packs away and fits under the rear shelf leaving sufficient space for the loo and other paraphernalia we lug around!
