Crit-Air without a Euro rating

Hi,

I'm off to France in a month and I've found out where we're staying is in a LEZ zone covered by the Crit'Air system. So I've gone to apply on the official website and it's asking me for some details that I don't have on my V5C

My van is a VW California T5.1 with 2012 plate.

The details it's asking for are a EURO standard & also a CO2 emissions value. Those sections aren't on my V5 or are blank.

To get the EURO standard rating I believe I need to get a 'certificate of conformity' from the dealer - I don't have one in the documentation that I got with my van (bought from new).

Has anyone gone through this process? I found some other posts on here with similar themes, but not quite this.

Thanks very much!

Fair enough. I'm trying to make it as hassle free as possible...

So what I did in the online application was specify:
Euro: no euro standard
Co2 emissions: 203 (from the manual that came with the van)

They'll check those details and either accept or reject it. They don't take the money if it's rejected, so that's good.

Cheers

Surely the engine type and year of manufacture determines the Euro rating? I would guess your van is Euro 5, another member or a google search may confirm. I don’t think they will require an official document as proof, since the Euro standards were obligatory for every car starting from certain years.

That's the issue , no one give a feck locally! It's a Euro BS situation

Who enforces it ? What thd consequences?

No one , nothing

I did mine a couple of months ago, just asked chat GP for the answers for my year of van, gave me the info. You have to send a copy of your V5 anyway, so they will know hat your van is. Please get one as if you are stopped and haven’t got one they will fine if you are I. an environmental zone.

All 2012 Calis are EURO 5, the CO2 depends on the engine:

You might not go into an emission zone area or get caught in one but for the cost of applying for it, you'd be crazy not getting one.

My V5 had the Euro status but no CO² value. I just googled it and had no problems. They want a picture of the V5 anyway, so they have the model number.

They send you an email with the certificate on if the sticker doesn’t arrive in time for your trip.
