Well you know the answer there - don't use a main dealer. A VW indy will do it cheaper, and Quickfit or Halfords cheaper still.Local VW dealer is charging me £126 to change the break fluid!
Not long since it had its first service, so a pain to bring in again so soon!
Thanks for response. It’s two years old.Well you know the answer there - don't use a main dealer. A VW indy will do it cheaper, and Quickfit or Halfords cheaper still.
Why is it needing a brake fluid change now if only recently had first service? How old is it?
If you're not too worried about silly warranty stuff you could always buy a fluid moisture tester and get it changed when it actually needs it, not every two years or whatevs.
I understand the sentiment but that's exactly what the less scrupulous elements of the motor industry rely on to 'encourage' us to spend our money on with them. A few years ago the recommended first fluid change for a T6 was three years, now it's mysteriously dropped to two years.I have to say, for around 100 quid, or 100 Mars Bars, to replace fluid every 2 - 3 years, for the most important part of any vehicle, the brakes, seems the least of all hardships on here.
