Anyone tried a portable tyre inflator?

I know this is a swerve from the thread topic but how do rate the Worx vac?

It’s great for in the van for a quick hoover, it’s not as good as a vacuum you use in the house. It’s a cube so really easy to store, and we use it to shrink our vacuum bags that we keep our bedding in

Thanks. I’d bargained on it being less powerful as it’s portable. It’s definitely for the van I’m thinking.

I have a Seeley CT1120 that was recommended online. It works well - not fast but steady. It saved me in Highlands when Cali warned of low pressure in front tyre

We have the WORKX vacuum & tyre inflator/lamp both very good, the vacuum hoovers up so much dust, so much better than a dustpan & brush.

Even a 12v pump will need jacking up the van to remove weight off the tyre, otherwise it takes a really long time to get the needed pressure, and it will probably overheat by then and stop working.

Please explain, weight on the tire does not change pressure in tire. ..
You stop at gas station and jack up the van to adjust pressure of tires ?

Same as trying to inflate an inflatable mattress with someone on top.
At least that was the advice I got when I had to inflate a tire from flat.

We prefere a Makita (18V) one - DMP181Z , because all our tools work with teh 18V-System. The 18V batterie (s) also power the vacuum cleaner (DCL 181F) or an handheld lamp (on board) .....

After whinging to myself that I could justr use the one that comes in the Cali (I did, but to inflate the tyres on our Defender) I gave in and bought this in the sale due to the sheer number of great reviews.

Ok. I'm impressed. Works a treat and made short work of my Triumph motorbike tyres.

I had something similar a year or so ago, a small battery powered tyre inflator and in my experience, they are kind of OK but only for a bit of a top-up; if your tyres are pretty low then you can barely get a single inflation from a full battery and they are crazily slow (like 10+ minutes to inflate). I binned it in the end and got a trusty 12v inflator instead.

Although this was a couple of years ago, maybe they have improved since then.

It's got its own little carry case and fits nicely in the rear cupboard of the Cali.

I found a track pump I use on my bIkes works better than the 12v tyre inflator. I get a proper reading on the foot pump.
