I normally don’t do predictions but if someone was twisting my arm I’d say Residuals on a PHEV California might be pretty disastrous, based on big discounts on new ones right from the start and lots of problems.

Ignoring the electrical/electronic problems for the moment, isn’t this just because there’s 1. a facelift/update now available and, 2. it’s the end of the summer?

But if you buy with a huge discount that should hopefully be the first chunk of depreciation covered. It will be those that bought at list price that suffer.
On the other hand you can hedge your bets by buying on a pcp - if the value has dropped like a stone & is less than the final payment, just hand it back.

Yes PCP gives you a safety net.

I don’t know though, having started off in favour of a Transporter Cali, then a PHEV on PCP, I am now firmly with Sidepod in the Caravan camp.
If I sound indecisive I blame 2into1. He kept throwing in new stuff like an extra dog and a mountain bike !

Agree, both could be factors.

If you feel that strongly surely the sensible thing to do would be to not have a Campervan whether its an EV or diesel, the production of it contributes to global warming & so does the use of it.
No one needs a Campervan - it's purely a luxury item.

Personally I don’t get the obsession with PHEV MHEV, Elec whatever these things are, I’ve never paid any attention.

Experience so far suggests anything elec depreciates massively.

The 6.1 seems to be holding its value very well.
Way up the cost of fuel against depreciation for however long you plan to own it.

At the risk of getting excommunicated or run out of town, there are some pretty cool small caravans out there , is that at opsh?
