Interesting, yet sad read in today's news... Could this be the end of the Volkswagen California range?

"Volkswagen (VW) will axe one in two models from its vehicle range as part of a cost-cutting drive.

The German car giant, which has been battling a downturn in performance, announced the measure after the board failed to agree on job cuts of up to 100,000 roles in a crunch meeting.

VW said that halving the number of models it sold would allow it to focus on its best-selling and most profitable vehicles.”

The decision to halve the range of car models follows a bruising board meeting that laid bare divisions over how aggressively the carmaker should cut costs as it battles weaker sales and growing competition. Stuart Masson, founder of The Car Expert, said Volkswagen’s cost-cutting drive was expected to claim niche models first, with cars such as the T-Roc Cabriolet unlikely to be replaced."

Makes sense, i got lost looking at all the models with the same engine and running gear…
