We have had Michelin Cross Climate 2 for the last two years. They are confidence inspiring in the wet and snow too (we tried them on snow this year in Iceland, they were very good). So far we have done 15000 miles on them and they still have 5mm tread all round so they seem to wear evenly. Only difference is we have 2 wheel drive and tyres are 235’s on 17 in rims. I would certainly have them again
will check with tyre place tomorrow as in northern Scotland and no doubt will need couple days to order. See mentioned cross climate 2 and 3s - can you explain difference please ?

No, we just use the heating in the Cali if its cold and avail ourselves of the van body to keep us dry if it's wet ............

Look at the Black Circles website. You'll get a discount on Michelin tyres and a choice if where you can get them fitted.
I would go for CC3 because you run the risk of not being able to find a CC2 anymore if you need to replace a tire.
Costco often do the cross climate. Last time I bought a set for my car I got a good deal at Tawse tyres in Inverurie.
I’ve no idea if CC2 is that different to CC3 and I’m watching this thread closely because I expect to switch to one of these in a year or so, after all changing your shirt twice a year is a lot easier than changing your tyres twice a year

I recognize the stones in the tread from the period I had CC2. Despite all bad reviews about all terrain tires and 4 season tires compared with premium summer and winter tires I am still happy with General Grabber AT3 for the moment. I cover a lot of my mileage per year on gravel roads in Scandinavia and have gravel on the driveway. I really wanted to get rid of those small stones in the tire tread. If I had a sports car, I would choose premium summer and winter tires, but not for my California. Lake District is known for its 4 seasons in one day, I use layers to dress suitable for the weather, not going into the exact details, but it’s easier to take off a light waterproof jacket in 40 seconds than keeping 2 different sets of wheels and tyres.
Getting 4 fitted today, great to have these recommendations . Not cheap (ouch) but ready for our Norway trip in September
