Hi
Need a couple of tyres on my 2022 Beach on Claytons.
Once upon a time people used to pick up new claytons (and tyres) from converters for less than the cost of the tyres.
Assume less Claytons doing the rounds nowadays? Would you fit 16" Syracuse from a multivan to a T6.1 beach / anyone done than. Have seen them online but not sure I have in the flesh to really tell.

As the base of the van is from 2003 all the way up to 2024, if you have the 16" front brakes, every wheel from the T5 up to the T6.1 will fit on any vehicle.
If you have the 17" front brakes, you can only fit 17" or up, not 16", so I wouldn't know why the wheels from a Multivan wouldn't fit your Beach.

The 17” Kato’s from my 6.1 stuck out loads on the multivan.
So the 16” wheels from a Multivan might be too far in on your 6.1.
Could use spacers I guess.
But spacers are Not Recomended.

VW (T5/T6/T6.1) wheels typically have a high positive offset (ET) ranging from ET50 to ET55 for factory alloy wheels, such as the 7x17" Devonports. For the newer T7 model, recommended offsets range from ET58 to ET60. Lower offsets (e.g., ET30–45) are common for aftermarket 20" wheels to sit flush with the arches.

• T5/T6/T6.1 (2003–Present): Generally ET50–ET55.
• T7 (2021–Present): Generally ET58–ET60

Picked up a decent set of Claytons with decent tyres ready for MOT tomorrow with the intention of the garage fitting to the cali before the MOT. Only just flipping realised they are 205/65/16 where as the vans got 215/65/16 currently. Damn it.

Am I asking for trouble (ride/insurance? etc) by fitting the 205's?

The irony is I only need to change the fronts but I assume I'll need to change all 4 to 205 or none at all!

In point 32 you see that my van should have had 205's from the factory. But it came with 215's.
If I drive 50km/h on GPS, I drive 52 (digital speedo). With 205's I can drive 53 for 50 on GPS.
There is a little offset in speed, but within the margin. There is absolutely no problem to change from one size to another.
The one that will make a problem is the TPMS. If you only change 2 tyres, the TPMS will record a different speed between the front and rear wheels and give the warning light for flat tyre.
So, indeed, you will have to change none, or all 4.
My van doesn't have TPMS, so I could put on 4 different sizes of tyres, but that will jeopardise the ride.
Both sizes do fit the wheels, so the choice is up to you.
Insurance will not care for both sizes, as they are legal for the van.

Thank you. Dont think ive got TPMS either. Never had any warnings & ive definately had to reinflate.

I think im going to go for it! Wonder what the 57-58 psi will be like!!!
