Mystery rubber hose under the drivers seat (T5 Cali)

Hi Everyone,

I'm in the process of refixing the drivers seat after having changed the second battery on my in-laws T5. However, a mystery rubber hose just appeared out of nowhere. Does anybody know what it is or where it should go?
It seems to come from below the cabin. I attached a picture; please forgive my poor paint skills

Most likely the Hydrogen vent hose for the battery. Not all batteries have one but normally there would be a little removable plug on the top or top side of the battery case to plug the hose in which then vents outside through the floor.

See small hole on side of battery. Normally a plug in it, to remove.
