Failed battery charger

You’re all welcome! It’s a pleasure.

Now, I would be happy to receive detailed input on where the N162 relay is located on my Cali SE -05. Or if there’s a better connection point for a rear leisure battery (i.e directly to the charger?). Maybe if someone with the same model year could have a look.

Thanks!
The easiest way to connect a 2nd leisure battery is as follows.
2nd battery -tve to chassis.
Then connect the +tve pole to the +tve pole of your original battery via a 75amp cube fuse on the +tve pole of the 2nd battery. Use 2AWG wire for the connection.

Yes, thanks. I thought I might find a ”short cut” to the red +tve of the original battery somewhere near the charger. Perhaps it’s easier like this and not worry about the rest.

Ive never heard of a full California camper with only 1 leisure battery from the factory. Are you sure there is nothing under the rear wardrobe ?

Yes!!

I’ll send you a picture if you don’t believe me . The rear battery compartment is empty except for my spare camping gas bottle. Not even a sign of the earth connection or any kind of surplus wiring. Sorry!

Ideally both batteries should be the same size, capacity and chemistry and the same age . Both should be fully charged before connection.

Yes, thanks. I’m aware of that. Two Vatra L80. At the moment I have one 100ah, but it’s time to replace it.
