Is there a reset for the dish. Mine seems to be stuck in the down position. Ive looked for fuses for it but I can't find any and i've checked all the fuses in the tech cabinet.

I don't have the sat system but a good start would be a reset of the control panel via a power cycle, big red switch in utility cupboard.

Just an update if anyone else has the same problem. I don't think the system had ever been set up correctly, the control panel said the dish was in the up position when in fact it was folded. I slackened of the dish arm and put it in the up position then selected the fold position and it moved back to fold position but need to be adjusted again by a few centemeters and it is working ok.

Hi Happy campers !
My first post…
Just bought our GC680 and it’s got a sat dish installed. When I power it on on the control panel it will not unfold and the panel says error.
Any ideas would be much appreciated
Thank you

Hi Phil, how did you slacken off the dish arm ? I don’t want to get up the roof of the van and start forcing it

Only just read the post.
There a plastic cap on the pivot of the dish, pop that out and there is a bolt that holds the dish arm to the pinion. Remove that bolt.( if you look into where that bolt come out you will see a bigger thread on the arm housing.) You then screw in a bigger bolt into the housing and that will separate the arm from the pinion. My one was so badly seized together I had to put an electric kettle on the roof so I could poor boiling water on to the arm so it would help release the arm. Hopefully you won’t have to do that as it’s very dangerous being up a ladder with a kettle and boiling water.. If you have the Kathrien manual there should be a diagram showing the bolt size you need etc.

Hi, and thanks for the reply, was beginning to think everybody was ignoring a newbie on here as post a few items with no reply.
That said I managed to get my dish moving ! So it turned out the CSAT controller box that lives under the drivers seat as a power switch on it, I was using the control panel in the van to power on the dish but nothing was happening other than getting the error saying not unfolded. After trolling the internet I found a really useful manual on the Grand Cali which showed a power switch on the CSAT box, can’t see it you have to feel for it, anyway mine was in the off position, flicked it up, used the control panel to unfold the dish and bobs your uncle
It located Astra 28.2 in a min or two, completed a scan on the tv and I had 192 channels. Happy days.

I don’t think many of us has the satellite dish on the GC’s so you’re not likely to get much response . I tend to use a fire stick for the TV as the dish finding the satellite can be a bit temperamental.

The satellite dish wasn’t on my list either when looking for a new campervan, however the van we fell for had this option and after thinking about it and doing some research on how they work etc I was happy to have it. The problem with firesticks is you always need a data connection which can be hit and miss or seems to be when camped up. I’ve used the dish twice now both times finding Astra 28.2 within a minute or 2 or searching enabling full free view channels and at no cost ! Looking forward to trying it out in Europe at the end of August and will post my results.
