Wobbly door handle

Hi, 3 times in the last month the sliding door handle hasn’t opened the door. It seems like it’s not connected to anything when not working. I had to open the door from the inside. It’s working now by the way. The door handle seems very wobbly when you move it up and down. There is hardly any movement on the drivers door handle and that’s what’s making me think something is wrong with the handle itself. The Cali goes in for a service next week and is covered with the all in policy so they are going to look at it but want a £115 diagnostic fee which I don’t have to pay if they find something wrong and is covered with the warranty. Anybody else had this issue?

The handle operates on a cable, from inside and outside.

IMO your cable / mechanism has become detached or broken

Loose external sliding door handle

Hi all, the external sliding door handle on my t6 is very loose, 5 times out of 10 pulling the handle doesn’t actually open the door. Seems whatever retains the handle to the bodywork is broken/loose - anyone got any advice or remedies please? Tia

Yes the issue is VW take the wee wee out of the customer, charging to diagnose known issues.

Regarding the handle it's a known and regular issue , T6.1 even more rubbish, use the search function above right. (spyglass) and see T6 forum , the design is poor and has been a problem since T5.
