Hi,

I have an EcoFlow Alternator Charger that I'd like to connect to my leisure battery. I have a 2023 T61 Beach with only the leisure battery under the seat. Here is a pic I took without removing the seat:

I thought I would connect it to the circled nut, but that nut won't come off, and I've been since advised against that anyway (maybe that's why the nut is designed to not be removable?).

The cable I'm connecting is a heavy duty cable with an 80A fuse inline. The Alternator Charger supports up to 800W (~66A?).

So where can/should I connect it?

Where did you end up attaching it to?

i have put under the smaller screw to the right of the two 60A fuses

If you keep going to the right from those 2 x 60A fuses, there is a 200A (purple), and a 100A (blue). The 100A was vacant, so I used that one. I connected negative to one of the bolts holding the seat down.

Hmmm. the 'spare' slot in a GC680 is only a 40A fuse, and it appears to be non-replaceable.

I am looking to get ecoflow delta 3 and alternator charger 800w for 2023 t6.1 beach and do the same. I love the idea of not having to go back to the alternator and just come off the leisure battery.

Can you send pictures of your set up please?

Did you reduce the charge setting to 400w to make it easier on the alternator?

Where did you mount it?

Thank you

I’ve got EcoFlow delta 3 plus paired with the 800w EcoFlow charger. Connected mine to the split charge relay. It’s under the passenger seat on the ocean. I use the full 70 amp chargers capability as the alternator on mine is 180 amp. Doesn’t even warm it up at 70 amp,

Not much I can show. Here's my boot where the Delta is:

The Alternator Charger is sitting behind it:

And the Alternator Charger cable is entering the side of the van, from the boot, where the cigarette lighter port is:

Now, before I continue, note that you can probably do all this a bit EASIER from the left side (the cable would go through the vent), but I also have solar, and the solar cabling came the exact length necessary to run it down the left side, so that took precedence, and I had to route the Alternator Charger down the right side of the van as they couldn't both fit.

So, from there, that cable enters the trim above, it then goes down the side of the car. You have to pull the step trim for the sliding door entrance off, and it goes behind that. That will get you up to under the floor, right behind the cabin, and then you can come up under the left seat to the battery. If you're also coming from the right, there's enough length in the EcoFlow cable to navigate under the floor from right to left and still come up under the left seat.

As to your question about the settings… I keep the Alternator Charger set to a max current of 20A (~280W), which is not so much to preserve the alternator, but to preserve the Delta (it's only 1kWh so will be healthier if never charged at more than 500W). I have solar which keeps everything topped up quite nicely, but I frequently change it temporarily as necessary, for example, if it's been cloudy and I'm only going for a short drive, I'll crank it up, but rarely past 34A (~500W).
