Cost new £887 selling for £500

Can I ask, are you charging this off grid. I got the same Drlta 3 but tried a friends 220w portable solar panel and on a sunny day only charged to 40%.

It’s winter so likely more of a challenge due to sun angle and solar irradiance of 400 vs 1000 during summer.

Initially fully charged from the mains, but now only from 200w solar panels. Had no problems getting a full charge. I haven’t used it too much during the winter months so I couldn’t tell for sure.

Having seen the price of Brandrup back of seat storage at over £200 per seat I decided to give the Olpro version a go. Slightly smaller pockets which suits us and in orange trim to match the van. They are faux leatherette. Currently £32 in club shop and also the same price at Halfords who will order it in for you. Pleased with them so far and seats spin easily with them on.

Took a bit of searching on how to remove the front head restraints. You need to raise the head restraint to its highest level and locate the release button about 9cm down from the top of the seat back. Press hard through the seat cover onto a round section about the size of a 2p located in the centre of the seat back. Give the headrest posts a good pull and wiggle and they will release and come out.

Van is not the tidiest after being away.

Based upon the Delta 3+ 1kWh capacity, 40% is just 400 watts, so around just 2 hours of full sunlight, not a full day. It would charge 0-100% in around 5 hours based on a 220w panel, assuming ideal angle and sunlight conditions.

The NEW Cadac Safari Chef 30 HP Deluxe

Having just replaced the control valve on my second Cadac Safari Chef 2 I then saw that the NEW Safari Chef is more compact. I succumbed .
First impressions are that it’s a redesigned main burner which protects the ignition element completely AND it’s MUCH MORE COMPACT - here’s a photo of both packed side by side.
Oh and it packs solid - the old one tends to wobble about in the bag a bit.
Note: the pizza stone from the SF30 doesn’t fit.
Seems like a greatly improved product. Argos have it on sale down from £140 to £112 with a code on their website currently.

Looks good! Is that with a gas hose and regulator for the 907?

Thanks for this buddy. I looked at the charging figures before but the reality is they never achieve the projected charging output in the real world. I was just looking for anyone’s real experiences as I don’t want to buy a 220w only to find I need to upgrade later. Thanks again.

Not sure I've seen these on here before.

This seat pocket thing from carhartt was on offer via the evil Jeff Bezos site before Christmas and only recently arrived.

We already had the standard Brandrup utility for the drivers seat and were looking for something to make similar use of the passenger side. The Brandrup ones are useful to a point, but I find the row of little pockets too small for some of the things kicking around the van. I also didn't want to pay £200 for the passenger side version with only half the pockets (we wanted black to match the seat covers & they rarely come up 2nd hand).

Anyway, this carhartt thing seems a good fit. Decent sized pouches and because it's not fixed we can spin it around when the chair is turned to face inwards.

The straps are adjustable to make it sit lower down the seat back & look tidier. The pics are just a quick snap when I chucked in the van.

  • Tow bar (being installed next week)
  • Spacemate tray (being installed soon)

Also running tow bar with 4 bike rack above, will use the tow bar for Thule Velospace and Backspace for extra storage...

Then we have a Thule roof bars and roof box..., but I'm less likely to use these I think.

Gone from packing light to considering moving in full time :)

Anyone have a similar rig? How's your experience been?

Slowly getting the van how I'd like it to look (my avatar), and finally put a RCD360 in the van, so now have Apple Carplay and a nice OEM look. Couldn't justify the floating fancy stuff without spending a fortune on new speakers just yet. As a note, Moody ysm from Facebook was a pleasure to deal with getting that sorted.

Also put the trapezoid side bars on, didn't have time to fit the front splitter.

I'm doing it all gradually, so I make sure i'm happy making decisions.

I know i'm a bit of a heathen, but I am going to lower it a little at some point.
