Very excited to be a Cali owner again, for the 3rd time. Very much missed it.
It comes with the standard 16” wheels which makes it look like a toy car ha.

First upgrade is wheels.
Only question is: Bronze coloured or Diamond cut 18” wheels ?
They’ll have be having cross climate 3 tyres.

I’m leaning towards the standard 19” Ocean large diamond faced wheels.
Or these tuning fork type from Elite wheels.

Rather than the Rouge Alloy or Wolfrace type.

Any other suggestions?

I have the 19" wheels and I hate them. The Cali is not comfortable enough. It's better after it all broke in, but I'd still wish I went for the 18s...

Not saying all diamond cut wheels are rubbish, but after my experience with corrosion on VW Cascavals I would never choose diamond cut wheels again.

Personally I like black wheels on a grey van and I wouldn't go bigger than 18".

Great info, I might even go for 17” with a thicker sidewall to aid comfort.
Built for comfort these days, not speed

I’m trying to see different colours and wheel designs. Don’t see many indium grey t7 calis with aftermarket wheels.
Might expand my search to t6’s and see which ones look like the ones.
Don’t you think the wheels disappear when in black on a grey Cali ?
I agree black wheels on red Cali look good.
But think you need light coloured on a dark paintwork Cali ?

The very reason I went for 18’s as I’m of the age where softer is more appreciated than looks

Mine came with VW factory fitted 17” Dundrod diamond cut wheels. Can’t afford upgrade and am happy with them so no problem! Vehicle was ex-demo so specced up with a few extras that would have cost a bit to add to basic Coast

Can you pop a photo in here please

It looks great. Honestly I don't see that much of a difference in appearance of different sizes. Cali is so huge, that I can hardly tell the difference between 19 or 17"....

Don’t forget the Multivan Cali isn’t a T7/transit so isn’t 6x120, it’s 5x120, 65.1 centre bore like the T5/6/6.1. Fitment-wise all the T5/6/6.1 OEM wheels should work - there’s generally an offset difference of 5mm but that’s likely helpful in filling out the arches a touch.

I normally have 20 inch bronze on mine (as per profile picture) and really like the look of them. Have different suspension (fitted by previous owner) and the ride is really good. Currently have black alloys on the van as they have all weather tyres and drove down to the Alps earlier in the year and haven't switched back yet.

Those are for the T7 transporter / Transit. Your Beach is a multivan not a T7

FivestonesCali post explained it.

You've linked to wheels for the new vw/ ford collaboration T7 transporter.
Your Beach is based on a totally different vehicle - the VW Multivan

Just to confuse everybody this site, amongst other refers to the current California as the T7 when its not.

VW don't mention T7 in the brochures at all, to be fair they never mentioned T5 or T6 either.

Sorry, should have input more words.
Would help wouldn’t it.

I meant to say.
Yes, you’re right, I was confused for a
Momento !
It’s a
Multivan and I should know the Cali 6 wheels fit it, as I tried my 6.1 Cali ocean Kato wheels with Michelin alpins on my multivan (had the multivan for 2
Weeks, but rejected it as it stunk of fat smoke. )

So, I’ll search for multivan or 6.1 wheels.
Thanks again :thumb

I’m tempted to buy some 16/17 alloys and put off road bias tyres on them.

The 19” are just waiting to be curbed.

I have the 19 inch VW diamond cut Halmstadt wheels (they look great as black and silver) with the adaptive chassis control - so the handling and comfort are superb. You don’t have to compromise on wheel size for comfort any more. Make sure you spec the adaptive suspension, even at £1300 it’s well worth it.

I have been thinking the same thing.
My beach came with the standard 16s and was searching for what to replace them with. Now I have had it for 6 weeks and I am enjoying the care free stress free parking compared to my last 21 in brombergs from my Buzz.
I mocked up some bronze ones too

It's a proper PR f*ckup, you only have to google VW T7 to see both vehicles labelled T7 in reviews, youtube videos, sales etc. No wonder so many are confused. Even VW weblinks label the same vehicle as "T7 Multivan, Caravelle successor" :headbang

Yep, and I’ve seen that the Germans call the Transporter the T8.
