Water Tank leakage

VW Ocean 2024 bought in February this year, water tank leak from outlet possibly valve. Not sure wether this is covered by its 5+ Promise as I can’t seem to get a positive answer from VW.

Why wouldn’t it be covered?
As far as I am aware the 5+ is 5 yrs of Factory Warranty.

Leaking water tank outlet is quite a regular question raised on here - if you search "leaking water tank" - more often than not the answer is that the tap isn't fully closed. It needs to be 100% closed, not 99.9%. Probably worth opening and closing it a few times and then shoving it firmly to make sure it actually is closed before paying VW any money.

Had this on my 2024 ocean, dealer wanted it for a week to remove wardrobe etc, I decided to adjust the nut myself below the fresh water drain valve/red handle so it closed tighter , if you get what I mean, problem solved

Many thanks ,after quite firmly closing the lever a few times it looks the problem solved.VW wanted the vehicle for a day so called them to cancel.
