I'm taking my 2024 Ocean in shortly for its first service, and there are a couple of small issues that I'm thinking might be under warranty - broken clips in the back shelves above the water tank and the ignition not working for the left burner. Can anyone confirm (a) whether these would be covered under warranty, and (b) how I can get a list of VW van centres that can deal with camper rather than drivetrain/van warranty issues? (Maybe any of them can, but I though I remember news a couple of years back about camper servicing being limited to a much smaller number of dealerships.)

I can't drop the van off somewhere for these minor issues so am hoping I can find a place that can fix them on the spot, if indeed they're covered under warranty.

I imagine the igniter will be covered under warranty as it’s a component part, not sure what clip you mean? Ours goes to Coventry VW van centre, they do the servicing and all warranty work. It’s going in for while you wait service on Friday, so you can get while you wait, however any warranty work needs assessing and agreeing by VW so won’t be the same day. Our issue of the back heating panel took 4 days to get authorised by VW.

We had a number of camping related repairs/replacements including a new awning, alll by Breeze in Southampton.

I can see the need for approval from VW, but the fact it can't all get done in one appointment with prompt turnaround seems crazy, bad for customers and wastes dealership time too. Who has time to run back and forth to a dealership or leave a vehicle there for days?

Even booking the first oil change was suboptimal. Website said availability on May 14, but for 'drop off'. When I called and asked if I could just book a time and wait, given an oil change takes about 15 minutes, I was told there was no availability that day, the mechanics were not even on site that day.
