Wanted:

Replacement infotainment / Headunit for our T5.1

Looking for:
○ Something that interfaces well with the steering wheel controls.
○ Has DAB
○ Has Sat Nav (for poor reception reasons).
○ Has 2 x camera inputs (Front & Rear)
○ Has Apple carplay & Android Auto

If anyone's got anything that matches (or is similar to the above) I'd be really grateful to hear from you.

I have a Kenwood unit that’ll suit all the above.

You’d need to buy a fitting kit (fascia & steering wheel interface).

If you wanted a VW system, you could try a company I've used and gives very good customer service. Sat Nav Systems.

If it has this you don't need DAB and sat nav in my opinion. In my last van I had this to replace the factory unit with sat nav as I wanted CarPlay

Worked well, looked OEMish and integrated fine with steering wheel controls whilst not being hugely expensive. Also easy to fit and took around 10-15 minutes all in.

I have an 18 month old Discover Media Pro MIB2 unit available in early March. It has DAB, satnav (2025 map update), Apple car play & Android auto, CD player etc. Steering wheel controls and all usual VW menus, it has the rear camera output but would need to check if it supports a front camera. It was a new unit that replaced the original under warranty. In perfect working order but I’m replacing it in March hence not available until then. Refurbished units sell for around £450-600 but I’m looking for £300 plus postage. PM me if interested.
