Hello,
I have done a lot of research on the forum to see which fuse is for my 6.1 ocean sink tap, I modified my van abit , the picture is the UK LHD model passerenger seat under fuses, my tap currently not working and showing a "pump protection active" on the overhead control screen, also been trying the blow and sucking.... doesn't work.

so I want to check if it's fuse blow. (also tried the rear shower switch and pump no sound...) I checked a lot of fuse diagram of forum it's saying a 5A orange fuse but I don't seem to see it on my fuse box... can anyone point me to the sink tap pump fuse please?

I have a 2000W inverter underseat but no fuse location modified

There is no fuse for water pump. If you get the error message it means pump was running dry or pump is blocked somehow. It may be good idea to take a look at the pump itself. Otherwise must be wiring problem (shortcircuit or open circuit).

Thanks verymuch, I just got access to the pump and it's broken.

Before access the pump I use multimeter to check there is actually voltage at the pump input connector when I turn on the tap, so it means there is power input. And pump is not working as expected. THanks

So I wonder how the error msg is being triggered, could it be when there is power feeding into the pump but there is not enough current consumption expected?

It will most likely be controlled via a MosFET (AKA: Electronic switch, FET or e-fuse) - The device will be able to detect open circuit, short to ground, overcurrent and trigger a fault accordingly.

The MosFET wil have a current profile that it expects to see, in-rush and then running current. If this is exceeded or detects a open circuit it will flag a fault. Normally an overcurrent will result in the FET being switched off, open circuit will probably have a retry strategy. The device will probably self-heal on an ign cycle a few times and then will probably need a fault cleared to get it to work again if it persists over a few ign cycles.

You can get some weird behaviours when unexpected loads are connected, swapping a bulb for an led can result in the device thinking there is a short to ground, as the load is too small but not open.

Thanks for the info! that's too overkill safety for a pump xD

It is part of one of the many control units in the cali that also communicate with display using CAN bus. You can read about it in SSP705 page 30/31 available in resource section.
