VW navigation traffic warning disablement

I use google maps for navigation via the infotainment system and it’s fine. However, I have in the past played around with the VW system and it is running in the background. (I find it useful to have the VW navigation appear next to the speedometer zoomed out for broad brush / general direction and the google maps on the central display for detail).

Anyway, every so often it gives me a warning, often several times, that there is “severe traffic congestion ahead with an expected delay of…”. It’s flip-flopping annoying!!

There is “big love”, or a respectful and restrained English handshake (you choose), coming to anyone who can tell me how to turn it off?
