VW 30mm lowering springs

Is this something I should have fitted?

I'm always surprised that people are happy to put up with the standard suspension on a £60k+ vehicle. Whether you want it lowered or not, coilovers or air would prvide a much more comfortable and composed ride even on larger wheels. But they do of course come at a cost, so it just depends on your priorities.

Ride is the priority over the larger wheels for sure. I like the slightly lower look but think it would still look good with 18" wheels and a higher tyre profile. Don't want to make another mistake when I change so I will continue with the research this time and talk to a local specialist.

The Eibach VW coil overs are height adjustable 20mm-70mm so you can set up the stance of the Cali to your liking. They are a VW supplied item (can source elsewhere for less however) and I should have thought will therefore not impact warranty. You will need to advise insurance company and we had a small addition to pay Safeguard for our changes.

Safeguard made no extra charge when I fitted Air Suspension.

Does anyone know the part number for the official VW Eibach 30mm lowering springs for the T6?

Me again.

I’m out of warranty (2018 T6)

Want to lower the cali by 30mm or so.

Do I need the VW EIBACH ones as above or can I get the generic EIBACH ones which seem much cheaper?

Or any other alternatives for lowering springs?

VW will have a markup on the Eibach which will account for the higher cost.

Depending on the mileage of your Cali it would be worth going the extra step of having a damper upgrade to match the springs.

One example of what's available, lots of other sources.

Under 40,000 miles so hopefully will just do springs.

Assume I can get these https://www.rtecshop.co.uk/eibach-p...gen-transporter-t6-box-sga-/prod_1503297.html

And they will be similar to the ones marked VW?

These are the VW ones they use, there isn’t VW markings on them!

That’s what I meant. Are these the exact same ones as the VW ones just without the VW markings?

Yes they are exactly the same, VW supplied ones do not have VW markings on them all markings are Eibach.
