I guess you got hit by the high winds too. Thought we were sleeping on a boat the entire night, rocking back and forth with water-spray from the waves hitting the rocks below. That's some good 15 meters straight up and another 10m to the van. Went out in the morning to brush my teeth and ended up with a free shower.

This particular location was a lake near Falun, Sweden.

We have travelled extensively, but not so much in Scandinavia. Travel in Norway seems to be popular on this forum, and we have another trip planned for Norway too, but as we come to the last week of our Sweden / Finland loop, we can heartily recommend both. It has been so easy to find these overnight stops that some may have noticed I keep uploading. I could have uploaded so many more, but will stop now - promise!

If you seek space, quiet and immersion in nature, Sweden and Finland have plenty to offer. There’s interesting cultural differences to experience, a rich history and fascinating geography. Above all, we’ve felt a real sense of freedom here. No, we don’t work for the tourist board.
