Overnight stop at camping Val de Braye, Loire region. Second time I’ve stayed here and it’s just lovely. Immaculate, peaceful and has an outdoor Indian restaurant on site!

Mrs Acer does the itinerary, but we roll off 18th August for 6 weeks, leaving the kids in charge of home. Not going too far north though and not getting near Norway. (It seems to be an anticlockwise loop of the Gulf of Bothnia, including Stockholm, Helsinki and Rovaniemi.)

I’d be happy to post a couple of pictures half as good as those posted by you and AscotGreyCali today, but definitely don’t want to be too close to that Amarillo bear!

At Conkers Camping & Caravanning Club site., taking our granddaughter on her first camping trip! It’s a nice quiet site, 15 minutes walk to Conkers, and same to Moira Furnace.

Photos aim to show how this setup works on a standard 5m x 8m pitch. It’s good to get some shade when there are no trees. Awning is a Vango Kela V.

Billund Stellplatz, surprising the kids with a visit to The Lego House tomorrow before heading home. Two weeks goes too fast.

Not the whole show, but the flight path to and from the show is over the campsite.

We go into Eastbourne on the train (about a mile from the campsite ) only takes 10minutes to get into the centre via train.
