Decided on a week away. Somerset first with a visit to Roger to sort out my solar panel ( he was brilliant, very helpful) then a stay at a club site

After that a wee campsite in the lakes, very peaceful.

Re read your post, you said, to get home to watch England play in the WC.
We lost against Argentina so I’d have stayed in France and not bothered coming home to watch us lose.
Rather be in France, relaxing, eating cheese.

Was there last week. New Farm Caravan Park, Caergwrle. Nice little site. £20/night plus metered EHU(only used £1 total in 3 days). Train station 15mins walk away for Wrexham, Chester and Liverpool. Toilets, showers, black waste, no drive over grey waste disposal, only lacked a sink for washing up. Other than that, would definitely go back

Neat setup with the windscreen and the tarp. We’ve been thinking about a similar setup but with a Thule Subsola. Also find it hard to pick a size of the screen that doesn’t take up too much space in the back of the van.

That’s why we ended up with what we have. It’s a Outwell poled windbreak, which takes around 15 minutes to set up, but it packs away really small, and quite lightweight. The colour also is a near match for our Outwell tarps for the wind-out awning (Hillcrest and Fallcrest).

If we’d thought - the orange version of the tarp would be better - a bit cheerier !

Had our local village fete last weekend and The Big Blue Bus came to the rescue. Keeping everyone hydrated with tea, coffee and cold drinks.
