Was in Kiel today and we do recommend the Botanical garden and Zoological museum. U-995 tomorrow, then Lübeck for a few days and Schwerin castle before returning home to Sweden.

After three nights in an apartment in Rome, we took an overnight stay in the van in Rome, 7km from the city center.

On the way to Levanto, we stopped in Carrara. We really love the white marble. I really recommend a visit here. Small shops selling marble. Lots of people taking small pieces of marble home.

Can you spot our California?

At lunchtime I asked ms Kave to call and reserve a spot, but she declined, “No, we just drive there”. Overtook some german Multivans on the last miles of road just in case they where heading for the same camping.
Well, it was full, so now we spent the night outside another camping, 2km from the beach.
Lesson learned, don’t show up 19:00 at the most popular camping.

Levanto seems to be a nice place, I am delighted to be out of Rome after 4 nights there in the heat. Nice Beach.

Day out with a picnic at Rhossli on the Gower: nice walk along the cliffs to Worms Head to see the seals, then back and down onto the beach. We were treated to see the impressive Coastguard helicopter, though sadly attending a cardiac arrest.

Do they show you which place comes a what price?

This was a classic grass pitch with 10a electric. The pitch was allocated, not a choice but certainly no issue, and more than happy.
It was booked through the CMHC club so I assume whatever their agreement was with regards pitches and pricing.
