Have just reached the Arctic Circle in Northern Iceland. The scenery is spectacular, but the campsites so far have been pretty basic - some just with toilet and hook up. High winds are also making putting the roof up tricky, since not all sites offer shelter from the wind. All the main roads so far are passable now, but some have stretches of gravel rather than tarmac. You can buy Camping Card and map on the ferry.
