Its photos and posts like these my wife is reluctant to go camping anymore.
But unfortunaly this is more and more common than it used to be in the past.
I am very glad that all ended well for you guys.
And thankfully that nothing happened or broke when packed up en went.

Yes. It had a decent slope on it.
The site has some decent drains but I think they just got overwhelmed.

I'll need the Cali as it’ll take me 2 days to get there! Might take you up on this one day.

PS how long does it normally take you to get back to the Forest from there?

Escape the cali ?

Yep for the odd night or you can stay in it but still pay for cottage as the parking is pretty good

I'll need the Cali as it’ll take me 2 days to get there! Might take you up on this one day.

PS how long does it normally take you to get back to the Forest from there?

If it’s clear run (never happen) 10 1/2hrs.
I always stop at least once Matterdale is perfect or Moffat area way back (greymares tail ish)

Kirkton Cottage, Kirkmichael, Ballindalloch.
Super close to Glenlivet MTB trails.
