Two section Bunk ladder - advice please

Yes it is. We're using it right now in that mode up in Arisaig in Scotland. It's perfect. I think that every time we use it. I just fold it up and pop it in behind the front seats during the day and put it up at night time.

I’ve bound the top ends with gorilla tape, this offers protection for the hatch and is (mostly) non slip.

Thanks - I read somewhere it only works if the chairs are facing forward so I held off purchasing - if it works as you say above then great

Use it on the side with seats turned around, I have toyed with the idea of knocking it apart and making it narrower, in reality I have stopped using it, at the moment I’m able to climb up without standing on the seat.

We use the two piece ladder all the time with the seats turned round and I haven't noticed any problems.

Campervanbits ladder is great. Stows on the back of the bench headrests. No additional clips are required.

Alternative product on ebay. Only downside is that you need to stand on the seats:

Do you have a link for the campervan bits ladder please.

We also have a 2 piece, high quality aluminum ladder. It came with the van when we bought it second hand. We used it for the first year but haven't bothered since then and not missed it. We dont turn round the drivers seat and step up the seats very easily. Being flexible and tall helps (less great once up)!
We also found the ladder rungs painful on our bare feet and is another thing to pack and stow away.
At the end of the day it is a personal choice and some people will need/want the help of a ladder. If so it is a good bit of kit.

I got a new one from the club shop a few months ago for the wife, never used it to this day.

We’ve been using the German version for 6 years. Easy to fit together, it’s in 2 parts. I bound the top ends with Gorilla tape to make it less likely to slip and to protect the surface it leans against. Stows away easily. A bit expensive but worth it.
