T6.1 Ocean 150
I am about to buy a T6.1 Ocean from a private user 2022 and the only issue that I have noticed is that:

- When the awning comes down, looking at it from the front
- It does not appear to come down straight
- i.e. the left side comes down slightly slower than one on the right, so at a slight slant
- However it evetual seal is fine
- Going up is fine

Should I be concerned about this?

Regards,

No, it’s normal. From people posting on this forum I’d say it’s abnormal for the awning to come down absolutely straight!

That said, there’s wonky and WONKY ! If it comes down very wonky then there’s a good chance one side won’t be closed. It happened to us once when we were pitched on a very slanted (L to R) pitch. Once we had it on the level, we took it up a bit, then lowered it correctly. Just check each time, to be sure.

Thats good to hear thanks

Yeah, mine does the same thing - left side always lags behind a bit when coming down. As long as it seals properly at the end I wouldn't worry about it, seems to be a common quirk with these awnings.

I had this once after owning 2022 T6.1 ocean for 2 weeks.Lowered and raised the roof a several times in a row and never happened again.

Copy what Roger said. I’ve noticed after a sag from being raised for a few days, unless the roof is fully closed and reopened it doesn’t seem to reset each side fully.

Can you see any bulges in the side of the Alu roof above the rear wheels? If so, then the roof has been forced closed with bedding still in place.

And also post by @Ch1pbutty

Are you referring to the pop top roof or the awning?
I think the OP was asking about the awning not the roof or have I misinterpreted what they said?

Mine was related to the van roof /Pop top

What you have to be aware of is the pop top dropping when put up ,there is a issue with the right hand side pump to the ones fitted to 2022/2 models they have swarf in them and fail our van went into VW several times before they admitted the problem and replaced it at a cost of nearly £2000 under warenty it usually takes 48 hours before you can see a drop I know this isn’t your initial issue but something worth checking before buying the van
