The good old days……

I gotta ask……….. why did it ruin everything, im holding the pillow in front of me for this one.

Shock, horror etc. Have I read somewhere that VW vans are now built by Ford and badged 'VW'?
Which reminds me of my first 4-wheeler: Ford Anglia van with wheel-spacers, three extra spots and an unlicensed radio. Golden days.

Interesting fact.
There is a French Law making it illegal to swim the Channel departing from the French Coast, hence all Cross Channel swimmers depart from the English Coast.

Must get around to sorting out my Irish passport.... sorted

Yep a strange political country but the benefit of a Irish mother, even though I'm British, means I'm given a passport by default, I just have to pay my money and ask.... and then I'm not restricted to the 90days.

If only my mom had been born 6 miles south of Kilkeel, id have been able to get an Irish passport too, gutted.

Isn't the test whether the parent was born on the Island of Ireland, rather than just in the Republic of Ireland? Might be worth a punt to find out.

Bonkers, just asked a border force at BHX, he said yes, I can have an Irish passport as I’m half Irish.
It’s €75 for a 10 year passport and I might be able to pass down to my kids too.
The border force said.its a golden passport whatever that means.

Ooh! My great grandfather was Irish. What are my chances?
How I read it.
My mom born Irish in N.I.
She’s in her 80’s now.
I’m half Irish so can get an Irish passport now.
My two kids 30’s, have to register in foreign births website, and hopefully get granted then they can get Irish passports.
But their existing 3 kids (my grand kids, ) can’t.
But after my kids get Irish passport, then their future (not born yet ) can get IRE Passports.
So check to see if your mom or dad on that side registered for foreign births in the IRE.
If they did before you were born then yes.
If they didn’t or did after you were born then no.
