Tap not turning off

My tap pump keeps on going even though I have just turned the tap off. No water is flowing, but the pump is running. If I start the tap and then turn it off it momentarily stops pumping, but then resumes.

What do I do?

I’m sure the pump will burn out soon. Do you know which fuse I should pull?

I expect my battery will be next

There is no fuse on T6.1 for the tap. It's controlled via software. When the water runs out, itll stop the pump. However, check that the tap is fully closed by opening and closing it again fully. Also check the switch is not left on if you have the optional shower attachment in the rear.

Further to my panicked rambling half an hour ago, if anyone else finds himself in this situation, I think that the thing to do is pull the connector that sits just under the tap, removing the cutlery draw first.

It does mean that I’m now without tap for the remaining nine days or so of my trip back from Slovenia. I’m glad it’s already booked in with VW for a long list of other problems.

Obviously, grateful for any comments or observations relating to this latest bit of joy.

Thanks very much for your help. Strangely, no water was running when the pump noise was being made. I had drawn some water, but then noticed a few minutes later the pump noise. If I then opened the tap briefly and then closed it again, the pump noise would stop for a couple of seconds, but then restart by itself.

Update: I have put the van in for the VW service team to repair this and other issues.

I believe that they have reconnected the power and that it now works perfectly. I just know that I’m going to go away on holiday and have the same problem again after 5 minutes. So frustrating!
