Has anyone ever had an issue with the tailgate being slightly off centre?

I just had a thing …. Loaded and heavy bike rack.. I opened the door with the bike rack loaded just to get access to the gas quickly… let the door slam from about 1/8 open with the additional weight on… and the LH tail light flew out!

Upon closer inspection the bike rack was all tight… but it seems the tolerance on the LH passenger side is much less than on the RH side…

Fortunately light wasn’t damaged so it popped back in and a gentler closing was okay… just worried that my whole tailgate isn’t quite aligned?

I’ve never bumped the rear..

Anyone else come across this?

From your photos the bike rack clamp on the L seems to be positioned slightly higher than the R side.

I place a resource in the VIP section, some time ago, showing how the tailgate is adjusted / aligned. Etc.
