T7 teetering on the edge....

I may consider changing from our current 2022 6.1 Ocean 204 diesel 4M to the T7 Hybrid later this year. I have followed all the comments on the various pros and cons but I would like to know more of the experience of T7 hybrid owners who do long journeys. I am convinced about the benefits for short journeys but what I really want to know is how will it perform on a long day's drive at 70mph+, say 300 motorway miles in UK or 500 miles through France and up into the Alps - which we do each winter in our current 6.1, very capably but not all that comfortably. On those journeys I wouldn't be wanting to save battery power for electric-only use, or worrying about maximising mpg, but I would be wanting good power, low down torque and performance all day, up and down lots of long autoroute hills at speed on cruise and then up into the mountain passes. The 6.1 204 does this admirably. Does the T7 PHEV's drive and performance depend on using both engines, and if so does it keep the battery sufficiently charged for that throughout a long journey?

On my Hybrid Multivan - Yes.
The EV miles are calculated on 70% EV battery capacity. When you select Hybrid mode it uses regenerative braking AND engine charging to recharge the EV battery as you drive so you always have EV battery capability. You can select how much EV battery to maintain for your destination. eg; 1000mls 3 day trip , no charging enroute and 50% EV battery on arrival.
