Was the vehicle you tested the PHEV 4Motion model? I'm curious about your power statement regarding 4x4, if it was based on the driving experience.I had the opportunity to drive the New California and let me tell you, it drives better, like a passenger van, but other things are worse. the kitchenette is tiny, only one burner, fewer cabinets, no drawer under the rear seats, what is there can be used as a glove compartment. After unfolding the bed, there is practically no space left to stand. We can no longer hide the table in the side door and it was great solution. No powerful diesel with 4x4 drive .This vehicle has lost its iconic California character. It doesn't suit me personally.
We have got a T7 California as a courtesy vehicle while out T6.1 has some warranty work carried out. I totally agree with all you have said. It DOES drive better for handling and cornering etc and the wind noise, tyre noise and engine noise is a lot quieter. BUT from there on it’s not a patch on our T6.1 for practicality and usability.I had the opportunity to drive the New California and let me tell you, it drives better, like a passenger van, but other things are worse. the kitchenette is tiny, only one burner, fewer cabinets, no drawer under the rear seats, what is there can be used as a glove compartment. If you only look at the outer lengths, you would think the T7 has a bigger interior. The only thing is, the nose of the T7 is much longer, so the interior space isn't bigger.T7 California 5.17 m
T6 California 4.90 m
I would Like to measure interior. I think ceiling is shorter as well. Kitchen is wider.
I will keep my T6

Don’t want to get into a mine is better than its argument, but different people have different requirements, you say the T6.1 is more practical,We have got a T7 California as a courtesy vehicle while out T6.1 has some warranty work carried out. Where did you get the black floor mat?Don’t want to get into a mine is better than its argument, but different people have different requirements, you say the T6.1 is more practical,
Go and do this to your T6.1 by yourself with no tools in less than 5 minutes. That’s the practicality I wanted, which is one reason I chose the T7 over the older model.

Each to their own, and enjoy what you have, we all have a great vehicle, whichever model it is.
It’s just a thick rubber sheet from eBay and I cut it to shape using a cardboard templateWhere did you get the black floor mat?
And if you've ever removed a bench seat from an T5\6\6.1 Ocean \ SE, you'll really appreciate the significance of this improvement!Don’t want to get into a mine is better than its argument, but different people have different requirements, you say the T6.1 is more practical,
