My leisure battery has finally given up the ghost. I was thinking that while replacing I could install a solar roof panel to keep the leisure battery topped up. Anyone done such a thing? I wondered if it could be detachable so it could be positioned for optimum charging while camping, or alternatively connect a second portable panel for camping. I've also heard that newer battery types eg LiFePO4 could be a possibility but might require a change of mains charger? Any advice would be appreciated.
