Hi all,

TL:DR - Q: Does anyone have any knowledge/ good ideas where best to take leisure battery power in the cab area, or the backseat?

I work from my GC600, and have been adding 12v DC USB hubs in various places to power laptops, monitors, ipad, dashcam etc. (For those interested, I have found these to be excellent for this use ). Two of these USB hubs are piggybacking 12v power from noncritical fuses from underseat and LHS dash fuseboxes using ground points underseat and on the lower left a-pillar, but these take power from the Starter battery.

I recognise this is not ideal, so I'm looking into options to switch them over to leisure battery power but I haven't found any easy power access in the cab area, or the backseat. Options available seem to be running power from the rear cupboard fuseboard, or running a line through the enginebay firewall, and installing a fuse panel underseat.

Grateful for any good ideas on this one!

There are connectors under the drivers seat (UK) that supply 12V for things like the Sat system and router, both off the leisure battery. Depending on the age of your GC there will also be an unused 20 way and 6 way connector pair that were intended for a habitation sound system VW have never offered. It also has the leisure battery 12V. The large 20 way connector has the 12V on Pin 11. 0V on pin 1

That's really useful! Thank you!
